Thornton P. Knowles' Last Sentence

I am a tiny boat on a vast sea about to disappear below the horizon. (Three days after he wrote this in his journal, Thornton P. Knowles, 67, died.)

Thornton P. Knowles

  1. Jim, I have to admit that I'm disappointed in Mr Knowles valedictory words. I'd really thought he would have signed off with something a bit less mystical, a bit more deadpan and cynical, like: "I've known many people. Most of them are dead. I guess if you can't beat 'em, join 'em."

    1. I think Mr. Knowles would approve of your suggestion. Thanks.
