The Kyron Horman Missing Person Case

In 2000, 26-year-old Kaine Andrew Horman, an engineer in Portland, Oregon, married Desiree Young. The marriage did not work out. Within a year the couple discussed separating. But in January 2002, when Desiree learned that she was pregnant, she and Kaine decided to give their marriage a second chance. But it still didn't work. In August 2002 Desiree filed for divorce and moved in with her parents in Medford, Oregon.

A month after the separation, Desiree gave birth to Kyron. The divorce became final in 2003 and a year after that Desiree moved to Canada where she received treatment for a kidney ailment. When she returned to the U.S. two months later she relinquished custody of 2-year-old Kyron to her ex-husband, Kaine Horman.

The toddler, in 2004, began living with his father in a house on Sheltered Nook Road in a rural section of northwest Portland. Because of Kaine's demanding job at the Intel Corporation's Jones Farm Campus in Hillsboro, the father arranged day care for Kyron. For that job he hired a friend of his ex-wife's named Terri Moulton.

Terri Moulton grew up in Roseburg, Oregon, a town three hours from Portland. After graduating from high school in 1988 she attended Umpqua Community College where she met Ron Tarver. Terri and Ron were married in 1991 and three years later had a son named James. A year after the birth of their son Terri and Ron divorced.

In 1996 Terri married Richard Ecker in Springfield, Oregon. Four years later she graduated from Northwest Christian University with a bachelor's degree in education. From March 2001 to June 2002 Terri worked as a substitute teacher in the Hillsboro School District. In 2002 she divorced Richard Ecker.

In 2004 Terri Moulton moved into the home on Sheltered Nook Road with Kaine Horman and his 2-year-old son. She had been taking care of the boy for more than a year. Kaine's divorce from Desiree Young had been finalized a year earlier.

In April 2007 Kaine and Terri were married. Their daughter Kiara Horman was born in 2009.

Kyron, in 2010, was a second grade student at Portland's Skyline Elementary School two miles from his home. On most days Kyron rode the bus to school, but on June 4, 2010, Terri drove her stepson to class. That day Kyron wanted to set up his Red-Eyed Tree Frog exhibit at the school's science fair.

Terri and the boy arrived at the elementary school at eight in the morning. They were last seen together fifteen minutes later near Kyron's science exhibit. That day Kyron's teacher marked him absent. At 3:45 in the afternoon of June 4, 2010, Terri Horman reported Kyron missing after he didn't come home from school.

Students and teachers at the school told detectives that no one had seen Kyron after 8:45 AM. According to Terri, she left the school just before the morning bell. She told detectives that Kyron told her he was leaving the exhibit site en route to his classroom. She said that was the last time she saw him.

Teachers and staff described the three-foot, eight-inch 50 pound boy as too timid to have left the school on his own. That morning he was dressed in a black T-shirt with "CSI" in green lettering and an image of a handprint. The boy with the metal rimmed eyeglasses wore cargo pants and sneakers trimmed in orange.

In the week following Kyron's disappearance police officers and others searched the school building, its grounds and the surrounding neighborhood. It seemed the 7-year-old had vanished into thin air.

From the start, detectives operating on the theory that Kyron had not been abducted by a stranger, focused on Terri Horman's activities on the morning of his disappearance. The police became particularly suspicious when a search of her cellular phone records revealed that she wasn't where she said she was that morning. In fact, her cellphone showed she had been on Sauvie Island five miles from the school. This led to a massive search of the island for the missing boy. Again, no trace of Kyron.

Interrogated by detectives as a suspect in the case, Terri maintained her innocence. She reportedly took and failed two polygraph tests. Detectives, looking for physical evidence of foul play, seized and searched her car. They found nothing incriminating.

On June 26, 2010, 22 days after Kyron's disappearance, detectives approached the boy's father with startling information about his wife Terri. According to these investigators, Terri, five months before Kyron went missing, asked a landscaper named Rodolfo Sanchez to kill her husband.

Sanchez, in reporting the murder solicitation, claimed that Terri told him that Kaine Horman physically and mentally abused her. The would-be hit man's compensation was supposed to be the $10,000 in cash Kaine always carried on his person. To help facilitate the murder-for-hire scheme, Terri allegedly provided Sanchez details regarding her husband's daily routine. She suggested that Sanchez make the hit look like a mugging.

On the day he learned of the alleged plot against his life, Kaine kicked Terri out of the house. Two days later he filed for divorce and served his estranged wife with a restraining order. Terri moved back into her parents' house in Roseburg, Oregon. (No charges were filed regarding the murder-for-hire allegation.)

In 2011, with her son still missing and no charges filed in the case, Desiree Young posted missing person's fliers around a strip mall in Roseburg not far from Terri's residence. She also asked the reclusive suspect's neighbors to grill Terri about Kyron's disappearance. Desiree told the Roseburg neighbors that Terri had blamed her failing marriage on Kyron, that she had grown to hate her stepson.

The Oregon legislature passed a law in 2011 inspired by the Kyron Horman case. The new legislation required school officials to notify parents by the end of the school day if their child had an unauthorized absence.

On June 1, 2012, Desiree Young filed a lawsuit against Terri Horman claiming that the defendant was "responsible for the disappearance of Kyron." The plaintiff sought $10,000,000 in damages. On July 30, 2013, Young dropped the lawsuit. She said she didn't want the civil action to jeopardize the continuing police investigation into her son's case.

Desiree and a small group of supporters, in November 2013, staged a demonstration outside of Terri Horman's house in Roseburg. Terri's mother called the police who came and disrupted the demonstration.

On December 31, 2013, a Multnomah County judge finalized the divorce of Kaine and Terri Horman. The couple still had to resolve the issue of who would get legal custody of their daughter Kiara who was now 5-years-old.

According to Terri Horman's attorneys she was not the last person to see Kyron alive. Moreover, they believed the murder-for-hire allegation against their client was bogus. According to her neighbors, Terri seldom left the house in Roseburg. A lot of people reviled this woman and a few supported her. But for most people familiar with this case, it was hard not to suspect that Terri Horman was somehow responsible for her stepson's disappearance and presumed death.

In June 2014 the missing boy's mother told reporters that Horman, when asked by a polygraph examiner if she had knowledge of the disappearance, failed the lie detector tests. That month, a family court judge granted Kaine Horman custody of 5-year-old Kiara Horman. Terri Horman, after her daughter received counseling to facilitate a relationship with her mother, would be able to visit the girl under court-ordered supervision.

Terri Horman, in August 2014, petitioned the court to change her name to Claire Stella Sullivan. She wanted to make the change to avoid what she called the stigma of the Horman name. In addressing the judge, she said, "Kyron Horman is missing. He needs to be found. I love my stepson, I want him home more than anything." She also reminded the judge that she had not been the last person to see Kyron alive. She said her attorneys could prove that. The judge denied her request.

In December 2014, the head of a residential care facility for mentally ill adults hired Terri Horman as a Mental Health Support Specialist. The Eugene, Oregon company, the Shangra-La Corporation, hired Horman with full knowledge of her status as a suspect in her stepson's disappearance. According to Shrangra-La Chief Executive, "Terri was hired because she has the skills and training that enables her to provide excellent support in the critical area of need."

On February 20, 2015 Terri Horman petitioned a Lane County judge to issue a temporary protective order against a person named Stacy Green. Horman objected to the 35-year-old's posting of missing child posters outside her place of employment. The petitioner claimed that Green and her associates had been obsessively stalking her for four years. "They are now escalating in this behavior to where I fear they will kill me," she claimed. The judge denied Horman's request for the protection order.

Terri Horman, on February 21, 2015, quit her job at Shangra-La. She said the denial of her anti-stalking order was the reason she left the residential care facility.

In a January 2016 interview with a correspondent with the television show "Inside Edition," Terri Horman said, "I never harmed my son. I'm speaking now because nobody is looking for my son anymore. I want Kyron home. I love my son." She admitted to the reporter that she had failed the polygraph test, explaining that because she was deaf in one ear, she didn't hear the questions properly.
On June 4, 2021, eleven years after her son went missing, the boy's mother, Desiree Young, posted the following message on her Facebook page: "Things are too quiet and it sounds like Multnomah County may not even know they are still searching for Kyron. This is not acceptable and I will be taking it to their doorstep. Kyron--I love you. I will never stop fighting for you."
Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt, in response to Desiree Young's Facebook posting, tweeted this: "Bringing Kyron Horman home is our number one priority in this case and we will never lose sight of that."
As of August 2023, Kron Horman remained missing. No charges in the case have been filed.

  1. I don't think this case will ever be resolved unless they find Kyron either dead <3 or alive :) The investigation being focused on Terri, so early on I think was a detriment to finding him. I believe that she as well as others needed looking into but have often wondered if they bothered because of their lone thinking it was Terri. Also it's been said that he was allowed to follow someone out of the school to help him , therefore the unnamed man being the last to see him, instead of Terri. If true then why oh why did they keep saying that Terri was the last to see him. That is one o the reason that so many believe she is guilty and also because his bio mom and dad accuse her every chance they get. It's been four long years and she has not even been arrested for the murder for hire of her husband let alone the kidnapping of her own step-son. I am just so sad and don't know what to think. There are many scenerios that I can think of besides Terri did it that are possible. I just don't know. One last thought. If Rudy Sanchez had so much trouble understanding English even when an interpreter was speaking the questions, how did Terri get him to understand exactly what she wanted. Also he wasn't very specific when he told his version of their talk (Rudy and Terri's) He was actually pretty vague. I would love to hear what others believed happened or if they even think it's solvable.

    1. The custody trial in the Horman divorce is set for June 11th to 13th of this year. There are three days set aside on the court calender so I suspect there will be a fair number of witnesses called to testify to the parenting abilities of both Kaine and Terri Horman. It is quite possible that one of those witnesses could be the person or persons who saw Kyron allegedly walk away with the unknown man. Stephen Houze had two teachers listed in his witness list so it is possible one or both of them could be questioned regarding this unidentified man.

    2. I agree with you. It's been 4 years and no arrest. That seems strange to me. Let her change her name and move on.

    3. if ther was such an "unamed" man, why has'nt anyone come forward to describe this unknown man? I believe that it is a story surmised by a particular source and the old addageis that if you say it enough times it must be true applies. I don;t believe there was such a man and I believe terri had everything to do with this. I think the police know it, the parents know it and her lawyers know it. Ms. Spicher know a well. The three people unaccounted for at the same time with one missing to this day all know it was Terri.

    5. The cell phone records that determined that she was not where she said she was would settle the case in my mind. She lied. An attempt to have her husband killed doesn't help.

    6. Agreed- she lied & was disgusting enough to try and have the man she loved killed...obviously she sees murder as an option. Police need to comb around the island again in the water...

    8. I agree. The science fair was open to the public and to a pedophile, it was a target rich environment.
The hit contract has been discounted countless times and needs to be laid to rest. It just throws more suspicion- not facts.
The focus on her may have allowed the real perp to keep walking free.

    9. what is all this about an unnamed man? nothing has come up about anyone else other than speculation and rumour, the last person who was with the boy was terri there is no dispute she then lied not only about where she went after (as per her cell phone records) but it is also known she did just go off on a drive around (to supposedly to get her daughters ear ache eased ... really ? ) she claims the 5th amendment WHY if shes innocent she has nothing to hide the 5th ammendment is to prevent you incriminating yourself isnt it? she apparently has also failed 3 polygraphs why she is not in jail i have no idea sadly i dont believe the boy can be alive she had little time to hide him or pass him off else where i hope one day the he is found i think only then will the truth come out. Personally i think she will have a lot to fear if/when that day comes

    11. This is considered a "No body Homicide" investigation. Even though she has failed a polygraph 2 or 3 times, this cannot be used against her in a criminal trial unless the prosecution and defense counsel both "stipulate" to allow the results to be entered as evidence. It does, however, cause investigators to focus on her as a viable suspect. You don't want to prematurely arrest a suspect without having obtained enough physical or circumstantial evidence to be able to effectively prosecute her. Investigators and prosecutors are careful not to file official charges until they feel confident they can present a solid case to a jury. If they lose the case in court because they have not been able to build a solid enough case against her she can not be tried again later for the case when they get more information - this is double jeopardy. Investigators and prosecutors also want to make absolutely sure they are holding the right person accountable for the crime. This takes time and often hundreds of man hours of investigation. Cases like this can often take years to resolve.

Yeah right, she heard Dr Phil just perfect all the whole interview. Plus, she was a sexter, and those people are wrong in life. Lock her up, throw away the key.

    2. incorrect terri and Kaine WERE having an affair

      Delete
    3. Terri and Desiree were NOT friends before Kyron was born. That was the story she told her parents to make herself look honorable in the eyes of her parents. She went as far as to tell her parents that Desiree did not even want Kyron. Little did she know that her Mother would repeat this story (which as been proven a lie) to People Magazine. Desiree kept her lies under wraps in the early days of the investigation in hopes that what ever has possibly set her off.... would smooth out and she would reveal a safe Kyron stashed somewhere to get at Kaine. It has long since been known the truth. Kaine and Terri were having an affair. Terri was not the only person he was having an affair with. But Terri is the one who managed to move herself and her Son in with Kaine ASAP. This is why she told the lie to her parents. They were questioning her actions with a married man who was expecting a baby. There are many inaccuracies in this blog story. If you want the corrections I can help you with that and provide you sources of information. I think when blogging it is important to print an accurate story and not repeat the lies that had been told to People Magazine. I do not even believe Carol Moulton knew they were lies at the time she gave People magazine the information.

  3. I really believe that LE blew this case & has no care in the world for justice for this little boy. They screwed up big time! I don't care whose at fault, who saw him last, etc what I care about is justice for an innocent child. They are making fools of themselves with this case! How is it that so many other cases especially involving children get way more focus in reaching a conclusion & this poor child's justice is discarded like trash? Appalling!

    1. UMMMM...if you want justice then you might want to 'care' about who saw him last, and who's at fault? Your comment makes no sense.

    2. My feeling exactly. Why harass her-It is not our job to judge-there are people who get paid to that as well as investigate. People if you care so much, get out and look for the boy and inform people he is still missing. I will share a picture of a missing person, but I will not support allegations, harassment and etc. I want the actual body dead or alive. That's what I want. Call me mad if you want-dead-police get an autopsy and know who did, the boy is found alive-he tells what happened. When my birth mother was found on a doorstep with a blood force trauma in July, they suspected my step father for good reason, however in October, police were on a high speed chase with a guy that had 3 warrants for arrests linked to a different crime and they finger printed him in their computer and my birth mother's body came right up and that is all it takes. People are ridiculous and only know how to complicate and make things worse. A mother that does not have Primary custody of her child will easily place blame and twist facts. When I think of my 6 and 8 year old, they may innocently follow so and so, and if terri thought her son was walking to point b and left and he followed someone else out and no one knew it or went some-where maybe forgetting something could have coincidently been snatched. Call me harsh, but Public Schools are the worst! There is a reason my children are home-schooled and they are delivered holding my hand and received holding my hand. Just saying.

    5. I guess everyone has forgotten a classmate of Kyron saw him in the hall and saw Terri leave the school, Terri took Kyron to school that is confirmed, Terri said she left Kyron at 8:45 am as he was walking to his class, Tanner, a friend of Kyron's saw him as he was passing to go look at another exhibit, he also said he saw Terri leave and Kyron was not with her. Also Terri's alibi that she ran errands was found to be true, she was where she said she was and that has been confirmed by police, failing a LDT is not unusual, if Terri felt guilty for leaving Kyron to run those errands that would show up and there is a reason they do not allow those in court, they are not reliable. As for the murder for hire if it was so credible then why wasn't Terri charged? Police are not above lying to someone they consider a suspect and its legal for them to do that. Terri has never been named a suspect, Kyron's mother and father are tho two people who are pushing this pointing fingers at Terri with no real evidence to back it up, Desiree hates Terri because of the affair with Kaine while they were married, Kaine believed the police about the murder for hire, how would they feel if evidence was found that Terri is totally innocent?

  4. Many misleading aspects in this story. For those who haven't followed the case, reading this might give them a knee-jerk reaction that Terri is guilty. Especially if this story was their first read about the case. For those of us who have followed it closely, it is easy see the bias here. Nobody knows if Terri tried to hire Rudy to kill Kaine. I strongly believe if she did, she wouldn't be a free woman 4 years after the fact. Nobody knows if Terri took Kyron... but in order for people to make an educated "guess" the information they draw their conclusions from should be accurate, complete and nonbiased.

    2. If you care less about "that" aspect why take the time to reply and target certain critical aspects that entertain your limited attention span at all. Listen if even partially to a man that doesn't want to be incriminated and jailed just because he wanted to stand up for a victim of crime but at the same time not wanting to be a pawn and accused of a crime he didn't commit. People don't come forward out of fear because they weren't involved in to then turn around and say me "no speak no English" for no apparent reason. Other than too many crazies for me to handle. It speaks loud volumes to a sane person. It means she didn't have him as an accomplice as her whereabouts where lied about as her plan was unraveling to kill the husband. So you outsmart the unsuspecting victim and tell them to meet you outside I'll be waiting in the car as another stormy alibi plot concludes. The kid didn't know why. Just did as he was told. She probably had previously already dug the dirt. The facts are that dynamic and in your face that they shouldn't have to blow you to pieces to see them. She kidnapped him but did she have another to do him in. No. apparently the fathers alibi checks out. Her stern military government attitude of not giving up info til she thinks she in the clear speaks volumes. She was mad at the father while feeling suicidal in a dual relationship with him brings the point across that she blames him for her actions of revenge killing his son. Just because she couldn't deal with fighting a war in a relationship he could care less for besides using her and having her at his disposal AKA (Side chick relationship that he married into) men may like those relationships more so than women. The cursed broad fought a war by taking the "man" down but lost the battle in her head.

  5. I've followed this case from Day 1...I don't know what makes me more angry, the outrageous stubbornness of this woman to keep so quiet about her own innocence, or her supposed "friends" (ie. DeDe Spicher) keeping quiet also, and refusing to speak up. Today I see that Terri has petitioned the court to a name change...Claire Stella Sullivan....like this is going to make her seem less guilty? We all still know what she looks like. Even if not guilty, her inability to speak up for herself should make her feel as guilty as if she had done something to the boy. Why did she refuse to have her son, James, questioned about Kyron? If someone has nothing to fear, then a normal person would speak up. I live near Sauvie's Island, go there for fresh produce and berries in season. I never drive around he island without wondering if every inch has been searched. Why was the white pick-up there? So many questions....and because of the silence....no answers.

    1. Sauvie Island in my opinion holds the answer to Kyrons whereabouts. Teri got rid of him there. Her cell phone records indicate she was in that area after she was at the school with Kyron. She hides because she's guilty. Search efforts need to be continued at Sauvie Island. It may take a while, but I believe that's where he will be found. She needs to come clean and her friend who knows just what happened. Partners in crime.

The DA Underhill had pulled that same claim in a case years before and the woman was advised to plead guilty and she did and sent to prison. Another lawyer took her case on appeal and she was exonerated and set free in June of 2014. A man in NY was also exonerated in June 2014 who had been convicted years before on so-called cell pings.

Further, there had been threats made on her life by the many crazies out there and no doubt her life would have been in danger if she had been able to join in the searches. 11. Desiree can be quite vindictive. On her FB last month she had a map of where TH NOW lives (she moved) and told some of her followers to make note of it and they responded they would and put those smiley faces. It is a no-brainer she has been behind the stalking and harassing of TH.

    3. Seriously, that's unstable. imo that's inciting people to harass and do possible harm, and she hasn't been found guilty of anything. Anyone from the school could have gotten him, especially if there was a science fair going on.

  13. Terri Horman raised and loved Kyron from the day Desiree gave him to Kaine, she is not responsible for his disappearance. I noted when reading about the dedication to Kyron Desiree did not say one word in her speech about nor blaming Terri. Are there two sides to Desiree? Uses the internet/FBs exposing her vindictive side to condemn and encourage the stalking and harassing of Terri but when talking to groups or working with HOPE she hides that vindictive side.

    1. Terri never loved Kyron and I doubt she loved Kaine. He was a very well paid INTEL employee and I believe she saw a cash cow. She had a plan. Once she had her little girl no one else mattered. Especially Kyron. It will all come out eventually

      Delete
  14. " When she returned to the U.S. two months later, she relinquished custody of 2-year-old Kyron to Kaine."

[She relinquished custody before going to Canada.]

"The toddler, in 2004, began living with his father in a house on Sheltered Nook Road in a rural section of northwest Portland. Because of Kaine's demanding job at the Intel corporation's Jones Farm Campus in Hillsboro, the father arranged day care for Kyron. For that job, he hired a friend of his ex-wife's named Terri Moulton."

[Kaine and Terri first lived in the house in Aloha. Terri was never Desiree's friend. Desiree has gone on the record that that is simply not true.]

That day Kyron wanted to set up his Red-Eyed Tree Frog exhibit at the school's science fair.

[The exhibits were set up June 3, 2010.]

Students and teachers at the school told detectives that no one had seen Kyron after the 8:45 AM bell.

[Tanner Pumala, a student and Kyron's next door neighbor went on the news and told a very different story.]

Interrogated by detectives as a suspect in the case, Terri maintained her innocence. She reportedly took and failed two polygraph tests. Detectives, looking for physical evidence of foul play, seized and searched her car. They found nothing incriminating.

[Law enforcement has never, to my knowledge, verified this information. It has come from interviews and statements of the other three parents.]

On the day he learned of the alleged plot against his life, Kaine kicked Terri out of the house.

[Kaine took their child and Terri remained in the house for about a week and later agreed to willingly leave the residence.]

But for most people familiar with this case, it's hard not to suspect that Terri Horman is somehow responsible for her stepson's disappearance and presumed death.

[And then there are those of us that think law enforcement and/or the school should spend 5 minutes educating the public about the man Kyron left the school building with, just in case Terri didn't do it.]

    2. Every single person who was in Skyline School that day was identified and interviewed. The police sent out interview forms and interviewed EVERYONE. NO ONE stated that they saw an unidentified man with Kyron. That lie was created by the Person of Interest Terri Horman who is a manipulative, ugly, obese psychopath.

  15. This has been my take on this case ever since day one. Terri Horman had a note that was saying Kyron was to be absent after the science fair for a drs appointment, that is why no teacher thought to call anyone when he didn't show up for his first class. They marked him absent because they thought he was at the drs. Since no one expected Kyron to be at school that day after the science fair, no one was looking for him until after he didn't show up on the bus later that afternoon. There were 7 hours in between the time he was to be at his first class and the time he was to get off the bus. A lot can happen in 7 hours, especially when no one knew he was really missing since he was marked absent in school all day. It was definitely planned to get rid of this little boy, this was not some random kidnapping, this was planned from the get-go by Terri Horman, in my opinion, because too much trouble was went through to make sure Kyron was not to be noticed missing in school that day. So no one expected him to be anywhere, hence no one would notify anyone that he was missing which gave whoever the perfect amount of time to do whatever and then establish alibis and then cry for the cameras when Kyron never got off the bus from school.

  16. If this was an episode of Law & Order, Terri would be protecting her son, the real killer. But, it is not. Is it true that Kaine walks around with $10,000 on his person? For what purpose? Might he need to skip town?

I recall reading about this when it happened, and tonight I typed in "Washington boy missing after science fair" to find out if any resolution had come, and found Jim's recent blog post and all these comments, and no resolution.

If a boy I had mothered was missing, I think I'd look for him whether or not someone told me I was allowed to. Terri has not searched for him, she has not told the truth.

When I have read about terrible child crimes, it is sometimes true that the child comes from a broken family with pretty good to poor parenting. (People trying to do their best in difficult circumstances, or people who've fallen under the influence of drugs.) This creates anxiety that makes the child a target. There may be some love but the child is also yearning for something, and a predator knows it. This boy was too timid to leave school on his own, the teachers said.

I suppose it is possible that he was being removed to a better life--if this were a Dennis Lehane novel.

If Terri is not to blame why doesn't she come forward with the information her lawyers can prove? It is a terrible story, and I hope that Kyron's mother, for one, can be at peace, soon.

    3. James Logan Traver, born 1994 and would've been around 16 "driving age", just saying. James was sent to live with his maternal grandparents in Roseberg around 2008 by Terri, where Kaine found out later the same day while on a business trip to CA.
It was noted that James was camping with his dad the day Kyron dissappeared which was on a school day, I'm wondering if James attened school. Does anyone know where they went camping?
Perhaps a member of Terri's family tree was invited to the Science Fair, someone Kyron knew well and was "somewhat" comfortable with, and was asked to go with this person.
This is only a possible theory without naming anyone, what if Kyron was molested by someone in his own home and there was a plot to cover up the facts to protect another person that someone believed was more important?
A picture is worth a thousand words. Today I enlarged the photo of Kyron, that was first shown on TV, with Kyron in front of "Terri's" not Kyron's "Red Eyed Frog' exhibit. Look close to the "alibi" picture Terri took, examine the exhibit to the right of Kyron's, it's a childs work. This must have taken Terri hours to research, create, print and paste all of the elements, all perfectly centered. I can't see anything that Terri would've permitted Kyron to do on his own. If I were in 2nd grade and my parent had all the fun of creating my class project, I don't know that I could hide my dissappointment in not being able to participate. Perhaps a meltdown ensued.

It was confusing just to keep track of all the divorces, marriages, remarriages, etc. Look people, if you can't even figure out who you are going to live with for the rest of your life, you should NEVER have children until you do.

  22. Terri is the guilty party here, no one else. No one said that there was an unidentified man that the boy followed outside to help him. What a crock. Terri setup the school science project with the boy then left the school with him right after that. What happened next only Terri knows. She is guilty, unfortunately you can not press charges on anyone without any kind of evidence, hence the " no on has been charged yet ".

The MCSO isn't the only LE agency working this case. The FBI is involved as well. If either of those two agencies are disregarding photographic evidence, there must be a good reason, as in, it's hogwash. There are plenty of media outlets nationwide that would jump at the chance to either prove or disprove this type of claim, just for the sake of a headline story. So, please don't buy into this tale from "Anonymous" who is screaming for attention here of all places, as if anyone here has the power to validate his/her claims, especially since most of us posting here are anonymous.

  29. It's good to see that this case is still generating a lot of interest. I have been following this from day 3. From all the dust, there are two things that, to me, implicate, beyond a reasonable doubt, that Terri is involved:
    1. Cell phone records that simply and plainly conflicted her statement of location on that morning. Absolutely no reason for this. None.
    2. The murder for hire. The gardener has no motive, no reason, and no way of knowing these details and coming forward later. No upside for him.

Side note: DeDe Spicher, to my knowledge, to this day still has not fully accounted for her whereabouts that morning.

    Two possibilities:

    1. Kyron is dead and they did a thorough job with hiding the body. My suspicion is that the body was "handed off" to somebody at Sauve Island and could be anywhere now.

    2. He was sold and delivered to a human trafficker that morning and is out of the country.

    2. But the thing is, his DNA, prints, etc. would've been expected in the truck, obviously. If she pulled something murderous surely she wouldn't have done the actually act IN the vehicle.

As for the baby being w/her, well that would've meant nothing because she's too little to tell/share anything witnessed, and not an inconvenience by any means if left strapped in a car seat. Surely the step mother would've lead Kyron out of the car to commit a heinous crime. There would be no telling evidence in the car, only at the location she lead him to.

  36. The Facebook page of Desiree Davidson Young is truly her. I recently contacted her after the suspected siting in Reedsport Oregon that unfortunately was not Kyron. She did respond to my message but I sent the $1 fee that Facebook charges when you want to send a message to someone that is not one of your Facebook friends. Otherwise your message will go into the "other" folder. The only way this will show up is if you message her on your computer. It does not show up when messaging on your cell phone. I don't know why that is. I am sure that she receives thousands of messages and most likely only responds to those that would be strong leads to Kyron. Especially with the $50,000 reward I am sure that there are many people contacting her. I pray that the person that has posted above will not give up and will get the photos into the right hands. Kyron Horman's World Soldiers and Praying for Kyron Horman today? are two Facebook sites that I am sure would get the information into the right hands. Another option is to contact the Reedsport Oregon police department. After the recent possible siting they were right on top of things and interviewed and researched the family in question. I have heard that many people have not heard back who have leads when calling the Oregon Police Dept. I don't know why that is. I would call 911, 1800-THE-LOST and call the Reedsport Police also to get this info to Kyron's mom. I would most definitely also send the photos to Kyron's mom on facebook. She would know if the photos were of Kyron.

    1. I agree and can't believe so many people are entertaining this pathetic attempt to get attention. That "Anonymous" poster is just looking for some attention, and if they really wanted to get LE's attention, they would repeatedly and aggressively call the station and not take "No" as an answer. Who cares about a tip line when it comes to something as big as this? I honestly think it's more for just weeding out the wild goose chases, anyway. If this person was telling the truth, and had nothing to hide by coming forward, they would contact the media, post the pics online....whatever it took to either prove or disprove. BUT, the reason this person isn't identifying him/herself is because, in the end, he/she would probably be charged with harassment of an innocent child and family who have absolutely nothing to do with the disappearance of Kyron.
Again, I agree that everyone here should get a clue and realize if LE is disregarding this information, it's because it's worthless and from a disturbed individual.

  39. Don't believe it. The poster is just playing games. Some people will do anything for attention it seems :-( I too have followed this case from the beginning and still believe that the stepmother (Terri)and her friend are somehow involved. Think about it...of all the children in that school that morning..how convenient that Kyron is the one taken. The man Kyron allegedly followed outside the school could very well have been someone paid by the stepmother (Terri) to kidnap Kyron. It had to have been carefully planned for noone to seemingly see/notice anything. I pray for Kyron and his family, and hope that they will somehow/someday discover the truth..whatever that might be.

  40. If this person who believes they know where Kyron is truly wants to get in touch with Kyron's family, they would. It's not hard to find a way to do so.
Everyone has seen the gofundme page for Kyron. On that page there is an email address justie4kyron(theatsymbol)yahoo.com also on that page you can find a way to directly contact Kyron's Aunt Kelly.
There is only one Facebook page that is endorsed by Kyron's family. Missing Kyron Horman. All messages sent there will get to Kyron's family.
My thoughts are that this person doesn't really want to get in touch with Kyron's Mom. If they did, they would have already. It's not that hard to figure out ways to do so. Google is a really easy way to find ways to do things, and everyone knows that Facebook is one of the biggest go to sites on the internet.

I wish people would stop playing games with missing children. It's emotional enough as it is, then to have someone like this playing games and messing around, is just screwed up.

I wonder who told Kyron about the electric display in the basement. In the basement? Why? When it seems that the displays were in the childrens classrooms? Perhaps Terri told Kyron that there was an electric display in the basement and that he should see it. I wonder if anyone saw someone carrying a garbage bag..laundry bag..out of the school that morning? But with so many exits in the school the perp probably wasn't even noticed. I wonder if a man was involved because someone would have to be strong enough to carry Kyron with whatever they had placed him in. Or..Kyron was going along with someone suggesting that they play "hookie". An adventure for a child of that age. I still can not believe that NOONE saw or heard ANYTHING that day. The police really should consider sharing everything with the public. Something just might jar someones memory.

    1. Nancy...please give me the background on this basement display. You are ref to the basement at the school, right? So Skyline has a basement...hmmm. Just how carefully has LE and the searchers checked out that basement area?
Please tell me more about this. Thank You.

    2. There was an interview on television that I saw..a reporter was in the boys home and the boy..Kyron's classmate..said that Kyron asked him if he wanted to go to the basement with him to see the electrical display. The classmate said no and they parted ways. This has always made me wonder..who told Kyron about the electrical display? Was there an electrical display/project in the basement? In my opinion that would have been the perfect opportunity to render Kyron helpless and carry him out in some sort of container. Then there is the sighting of him outside with a man by a truck. But that makes far less sense to me because you would still have had to find a way to get Kyron in said truck without him yelling..and we know that someone alleges to have seen Kyron with the man(helping him carry something out-the electrical display/project?) Whatever happened that morning..I believe that Kyron was either rendered incapacitated..helped someone carry something out of the school..or knew the perpetrator. After all of this time I don't understand why the public hasn't been given access to more information. It just might jar someones memory of that day. I don't think the school projects were visited heavily that morning with so many parents working..rather in the afternoon. I also find it interesting how there was a "misunderstanding" about whether Kyron would be attending school. or not that day. Anyone evil enough to hire someone to murder their spouse is not beyond hiring someone to murder their stepchild that they professed to HATE. I have a calendar with a picture of a red eyed tree frog on my wall..I think of Kyron and his family every day. Lastly, the tee shirt Kyron was wearing..a CSI wasn't it? What kind of parent would let their child watch THAT? I don't know how carefully the basement was checked out, much less if there was actually that display or not..

    3. Nancy, you said: " After all of this time I don't understand why the public hasn't been given access to more information. It just might jar someones memory of that day."
I am beginning to agree with you. After all, we have done everything the cop's way and nothing has happened. "Investigation", my butt.
I will Google Kyron and electrical display and check through YouTube, to see what I find.
I know that his pal made a statement but I never heard about the electrical thing or the basement until you posted about it here.
Who said that they saw Kyron with a man outside of the school that day?
It is my understanding that Kyron was really into CSI and wanted to work as a forensic investigator when he grew up. Hence, the shirt.
This discussion begs the question: What crucial clue
was simply overlooked on the day that Kyron disappeared?

    4. I've been checking this blog and something occurred to me the electrical display in the basement--I don't know why I blanked that part of all this out, or maybe it wasn't reported alot when it all happened--what if the other huskier redhead were in the basement laying in wait, with a workhat on and gardening gear, that person might have looked like a guy at a glance. Could have been in cahoots with the main redhead. Someone said she would have needed help carrying a 50 lb boy out in a bag or box. Well helloo remember she was into bodybuilding, even competed for a short time. She wasn't a weakling. There are some scary pictures of her on the internet all greased up in competition.

  42. Ruth and L Wells,

I'll address both of you at the same time. The "cool electric one in the basement" that Kyron was referring to actually existed according to others that have discussed Kyron. I am presuming the boiler room was in the basement too. I have seen photos of the door going into and out of the boiler room. How easy it seems it would be to lure Kyron to the basement by telling him about this "electric display"..and on his way to see it grab him and take him to the boiler room only to remove him once the school is closed. Being a boiler room it would have been the perfect place to keep someone(less chance of being discovered). I have been going back and rereading everything I can find on Kyron and a teacher(not his classroom teacher) and a witness(unnamed)say that a man asked if "the boy could help him unload his car/truck". The teacher gave her permission and they left together with Kyron allegedly never being seen by anyone else again. I am of the opinion that it was either his stepmother (with help) or a pedophile who took Kyron. . Either way is so very sad.

  44. this child left the school on his own, knowing his step mother would be waiting outside, she told him , when he was done with his fair to meet her in the parking lot. I'm sure he wasn't even noticed going back out to the truck. Why would anyone really pay attention? Then Terri left and drove for the five miles and either killed him, or gave him to someone else. This woman tried to have her husband killed and also failed 3 tests, Doh. What more needs to be done to put this woman in jail? Plus she lied to police about where she was after she left him at school, Why????? cause she is a lier and had something to do with this

  45. Given that the authorities have not to date actually arrested anyone..Terri is still innocent until proven guilty. If she allegedly is "behind" Kyrons's disappearance there hasn't been enough evidence to even arrest her or convict her in a court of law. Let's face it..the case has grown cold. I agree that her actions appear suspicious..but obviously not suspicious enough to be arrested. Without concrete evidence the case would be thrown out of court. I realize that the authorities want to make sure that that doesn't happen. In the meantime though..YEARS are passing..peoples memories fade. I will never ever comprehend WHY every single detail isn't FINALLY released to the public..because someone(s) out there just might be able to have those details "jar their memory". Time is NOT on the authorities side..Kyron's side..or Desiree's side here. I am now questioning why/how Desiree could allow all of this time to pass without insisting ALL OF THE INFORMATION THAT THE AUTHORITIES HAVE/ or at least WHATEVER SHE KNOWS to FINALLY BE DISCLOSED to the public? It doesn't make ANY sense, but then this case never has. Has anyone ever thought of the possibility of Kyron's BIOLOGICAL father being unwittenly involved? He wasn't a "boy scout" by any means! And I agree with some others about Terri's BIOLOGICAL son and his BIOLOGICAL father being on that camping trip in the cool and rainy weather at the very same time of Kyron's "disappearance".
Things at the Horman house (NOT HOME) were coming apart..Terr's biological son was sent to his grandparents to live..Terri was having an affair with her husbands friend..Terri tried to hire someone to murder her husband..there were heated arguments while the children were at least in the house..Terri seems to have been finding fault about anything having to do with Kyron..if Mr. Horman and Terri were indeed having "threesomes" in that house then those children should have been taken out of there! Why didn't Dede(Terri's good friend) report what was going on to SRS if she knew?! Of course, there is always the possibility that a pedophile was in that school and got Kyron..but I still truly believe that Kyron was "disappeared" due to the stepmother Terri and her accomplice(S). If you read the case from the beginning..it makes the most sense. I am so sad that this adorable little boy became the "TARGET" of his stepmother and biological father's problems. And I pray to God that those who did this are found and prosecuted to the full extent of the law. If not in man's time..then surely in God's! A calendar with the red-eyed tree frog graces my wall now Kyron, you deserved a full life, happy parents, and most of all LOVE. I will never ever forget you..none of us will..and I will never stop hoping and praying for a miracle. God watch over you "little man".

  46. (In response to a comment earlier in the year) The cell phone records that say she wasn't where she said she was would NOT settle the case. There's still a little boy missing!! So she goes to prison for a year for lying where she was. That settles the case to you? Wow.

  47. Thanksgiving Day 2005 and this case has most definitely gone cold despite what the police say. The news media and public are kept from knowing ALL of the evidence despite it being YEARS later. Does THAT make any sense?! What EXACTLY did each and every person that was in the school at the Science Fair the same morning Kyron was there..see/hear? I cannot fathom that NOONE SAW OR HEARD ANYTHING! We need to finally have ALL of the evidence in this case RELEASED to the public NOW!
If I were Kyron's parents I would NOT STOP until EVERYONE knew EVERYTHING the police KNOW because there could very well be someone out there who could "shed light" on this case! God Bless You this Thanksgiving Kyron..wherever you are.

  48. I agree with you, Nancy. I still wonder who the guy is that I show the photo of every once in awhile. I will post his photo again and ask if any of you has ever seen him before or seen his image online. This guy participated in an online discussion about Kyron years ago. He made some strange comments and I ended going to his Facebook page. The image that I saved is from his profile on that page. He said that he lived in Portland and he had a more than casual interest in Kyron...if you know what I mean. I called him on it and started asking him questions. Next thing I knew, the guy had removed his info from the discussion and had shut down his Facebook page. Take it or leave it...the story is true.

  49. Hello Ruth..you SHOULD keep on posting and reposting this guys photo..who knows? I found some updated news on this case on the internet. It seems that two teachers actually SAW Kyron leaving the SIDE entrance of the school with his stepmom and Kiara that morning! And Desiree herself says that Kyron's teacher received an email from Kyron's stepmother for permission to excuse him from class for a doctors appointment that day of the exhibits at Kyron's school. This was shared in 2015! I don't have the links here but can/will provide them if anyone would like me to.

  51. What I think is odd is there was/is a facebook page called "kyron horman missing and needs to be found". The guy that ran the page Tim Latimer kept saying he was the last to see Kyron and no one would talk to him about it. It was a public page which I just checked a few days ago and was open. Now all on the page is deleted. Wondering if he is following the comments on this page?

  52. Why did Terri Horman lie to police about where she really was the day Kyron disappeared; what was she doing on Sauvie Island? Why from the begging didn't she volunteer to police where she actually was that day? She didn't love Kyron, she is evil and hateful and she did hate Kaine Andrew Horman. She try to take a hit out on him to have him murdered. Such a filthy human being and she WILL answer to God for murdering precious Kyron.............

  53. Why did Terri Horman lie about where she really was the day Kyron went missing? What was she hiding? What was she doing on Sauvie Island that day and why didn't she volunteer this to the police the FIRST time they asked her about her whereabouts & activities that day? She ran into someone later that day at Fred Myers and the acquaintance said she was acting unnatural going on and on with nervous energy about Kyron which she had NEVER done with this person before about Kyron (I think he was asleep in her truck from drugs she gave him and she stopped at Fred Myers on her way to murder him to give herself an alibi); the Fred Meyers she stopped at that morning was on the way to Sauvie Island. She did NOT love Kyron and she did hate Kaine Horman and she did try to have him murdered. She totally murdered precious Kyron and she will answer to God for this. What a filthy human being she is...............

  54. I checked-out the group pages that are managed by Tim Latimer. Some of his ramblings are just that...the ravings of an idiot. But some of his words are downright creepy and don't match anything that I have read, that is related to Kyron's case, ever before. So now I wonder if there is a kernel of truth in what he is saying.
The last entries on his main group page were posted last October. Fast and furious and then it all went silent. I wonder why.
After all, Latimer had garnered over 1,400 members when he put the brakes on. That seems rather odd, doesn't it?
He kept on declaring that he was the last or close to the last person to see Kyron on the day that he disappeared. So...hmmm.
At this point, Latimer...in my opinion, is caught somewhere between an ignored and possibly valid clue and a patented member of the lunatic fringe.

  55. I would like to post another thing here...in reference to why people don't contact law enforcement or the family with what they consider to be possibly pertinent information: Fear that the information that they provide, even if it is valid, will turn out to be nothing. It's the same thing in the street...a person might very well think that they've seen Kyron...but that person is afraid is to call "Hey, Kyron!" or make a fuss. Or that person might stumble across some valid information in another way and be hesitant to share it for fear of a negative reprisal.
So in the end, that person hints at it while online. It feels safer and the person oftentimes can post anonymously.
I wish that it was a different world where people weren't afraid to contact the cops and the cops were more receptive to hesitant but well-meaning tipsters.
I also wish that the online effort to find Kyron wasn't scattered in numerous corners across the Internet. I wish that one central source was in place to serve every poster (even the crazies...since a "crazy" could be a real part of the "where is Kyron?" equation...that was managed by law enforcement.
You think rational (or crazy) people wouldn't post there?
Yes, IP addresses are a trail back but these days IP addresses can be spoofed so easily. And often, people who are involved in a crime, will be compelled to post something about that particular crime, online. It's something that some perps do...for a variety of reasons.
Wackos do it, too. But they just get in the way. So...as sure as Sabrina Allen was found after many years missing, so I still believe that Kyron might be, too. It's just up to use to maintain a patient pace and pray that someone in some way will successfully separate the wheat from the chaff and discover the truth, someday.

  56. My theory: Kyron's body is in an abandoned well, septic tank, or similar underground chamber, somewhere familiar to Terri, and remarkably close to one of the nodes of Terri's travel on the date of disappearance. I imagine these have all been checked, but perhaps one was overlooked.

  57. I don't understand why Deserie gave up Kyron to her ex. Why did she give up her other child as well? It doesn't make sense to me, she only saw him two weekends a month. She didn't even have shared custody. I saw in one interview Deserie said that when she returned from Canada Kaine said no to giving back Kyron. Why would that stop her? Just because Kaine said that . It's up to the courts. Why would she go to Canada , she would have to pay out of pocket for medical. I do believe DeDe and Terri are involved , no one would take the fifth when it comes to a child!!

I guess my point is why would a mother give up her kids? No one will love and care for your kids like a biological mother.

    1. Because life isn't always black & white..I respectfully disagree that "no one will love and care for your kids like a biological mother." Watch the news..read news articles..visit my home state of Vermont..there are mothers murdering their children. Sharon Osbourne shared on "The Talk" that she had postpartum depression SO BAD that she didn't even want to look at her baby, And myself..I did not want my baby..some therapists called it severe postpartum depression..others called it lack of bonding) I went through DAYS of labor and when I woke up I had a baby that I did not believe was mine. Sad, but honest. I eventually(after trying to give him up for adoption right at the hospital)left him with his father. Because I didn't know what might happen if I had stayed. I'm sure that I will receive some hate mail from being so honest..and that is your right. But I will say this to you..isn't it better that I left then stay and abuse or possibly (God forbid!!!!) harm my child? Please..don't judge someone unless you have "walked in their shoes".

But this isn't about ME..and I sincerely regret if by sharing a tiny bit of my thoughts on why a mother would give up her children I haven taken ANYTHING away from finding the truth about what happened to Kyron Horman.

Just a parting thought...if Terri Horman hated Kyron as much as she confided in her emails..she DID have a choice..his biological mom would have taken him..I simply cannot understand HOW/WHY she decided Kyron had to be murdered. He was an innocent little boy who deserved a full life. I just have a hard time believing Terri would murder/or hire someone to murder Kyron. I'm still thinking/hoping that he is alive out there. I still have that calendar with the "red eyed tree frog" hanging on my wall..and there isn't a day that I don't hope & pray that Kyron will be found & his loved ones will find some kind of peace/closure(if that is even possible).

There was allegedly some kind of "mix-up..the teacher thought Terri said Kyron had a doctor appointment the day of the school fair..while Terri insists that she told the teacher Kyron had a doctor's appointment for the following friday. She took Kiara to the gym with her..I guess they had childcare services there. What has never made sense to me is the ride on what had to have been on bumpy dirt roads..wouldn't Kiara have slept better in her own bed? Also..Terri said that Kiara was sick..then why would she not take her home & stay home with her instead of handing her off to someone while she exercised? The exercise could have been done on another day when Kiara was feeling better. Makes no sense to me..

  66. Did anyone read the article about Terri in last weeks People magazine? I'm still puzzled?? There was no new information from Terri regarding Kyron..just her thinking that "someone
from school" got him. She even posed in one photo. Why would Terri do a story with People then? For money in my opinion. It wasn't about Kyron (the People magazine story)it was all about Terri..as always. In my opinion only..I still think that Terri had SOMETHING to do with Kyron "going missing".

  67. One last thought here..in the People article Terri says that she stopped the truck on the side of the road and got in the back to try to console Kiara..and then took her for a ride on back roads so she would stay asleep. That makes no sense whatsoever..wouldn't you want to take your child HOME so they would be more comfortable? Not for a ride on a back road, and then to a GYM!

  68. No....no one called. Skyline is a small, forested school....when Terri and Kyron arrived early that morning, they were seen by friends, neighbors, the president of the PTA stopped to speak with them about his science project. Everyone knew everyone else. Another student was the last person to see Kyron....not Terri as rumors had suggested. When his home class teacher saw him absent, she simply marked him as such and went on with the day. It was rumored that Terri had called him in as being out that day....then why would she show up at 8:15am as usual? It was also rumored that Kaine had attached an absentee note to his backpack...I won't even go into how stupid that rumor was. Kaine often worked from home as he cared for his daughter Kiara, so I'm sure that with all that went on that morning with the science fair, etc, his homeroom teacher just assumed he had called in the absence as Kaine normally did call (and as most parents did), marked him as absent, and went on with the day.

  70. Well....his disappearance is going on to 6 years now, and I find myself on the fence about this at this point. There are also, IMHOP, things that don't necessarily mean Terri is guilty. I almost hope she is (my bad) that she is just because so many of us say she's the "one". But her story hasn't changed in all these years. Her timeline, when she's asked, is always the same. Where was Kyron's usual teacher that morning? Why was a "homeroom" teacher needed? He was in the first grade, homeroom teachers (particularly in this very small school) are an extra financial burden to undertake in a financially strapped school community (I'm in Portland, and our schools always need funding for one thing or another). How is a mistake like not checking to see if his father called him in absent, happen? It's a routine step when taking roll in the morning. Why was roll taken so late in the morning? Terri last saw him go thru the door to the short hallway to his classroom about 8:48am. A classmate spoke with him, and then he was gone. Class began at 9am....and yet roll wasn't taken until after 10. What was the delay? Granted, science projects had to be broken down and carted home, but the children still needed to be in their classrooms. Consider these....is Terri silent to hide someone, James perhaps? Did James do something to Kyron, and she's protecting her own son? All school staff was questioned multiple times....but how many of the parents who had been there? Could a classmate's parent done something? The custodian and landscapers at the school were also questioned, and nothing in what they said would put them in the spotlight. I also "knew" for sure that Terri was to blame. Is it her red hair? Women with red hair are seen as devious, manipulative, stubborn to a fault. If you notice, she's darkened up her hair to a dark auburn....in preparation for what? We have to be careful when we say something is a "no brainer". Prisons are full of innocent men and women there because a crime was supposedly a "no brainer". Love it or hate it, it's what our judicial system is for. So at this point, I'm not so sure of her guilt. Trying to hire her gardener to do a hit on Kaine...I have no problem locking her up for that (which now will never happen). Is she covering up for someone? I think that is about the extent of her guilt....but doing an actual murder? I don't think so anymore. Lucky her.

    1. That is the thing..Terri took Kaine's truck that day to allegedly transport Kyron's display to school & back from school. Okay..we know that she got his display there because of the photo of him standing in front of it..the question is..WHY didn't she also pick up Kyron and his display after the science fair was over when she found plenty of time to go to the gym with Kiara who she says was ill and crying that day? Terri's "story" has never changed because she has it "down pat"..except when it comes to a lie detector that is..and then she fails it three times..according to her because she was under alot of stress. How about Kyron's biological mom..stepfather..and biological father..they were too..yet, she was the only one to fail it?! And then she keeps pleading the fifth against self-incrimination?! WHY if she has NOTHING TO HIDE?! Her "story" in people only made me more positive of her guilt. It was "all about poor Terri" ("I could offer this world so much if people would give me a chance..") Your chance was over Terri that morning of the Science Fair when Kyron was so excited..so happy..and then disappeared! You may not have done whatever happened to him yourself..but I will always believe(unless you FINALLY COOPERATE WITH THE AUTHORITIES and STOP TAKING THE FIFTH!) that you had everything to do with Kyron's disappearance.

      Delete
  71. Well...here's the thing....you can't plead the 5th unless you've been charged with something. She wasn't. If she had been considered a witness to something, and this had gone to trial, as a witness she could plead the 5th also, just as defendants do. Terri wasn't (and as of yet) charged with anything.
If she thought to plead the 5th during questioning, she was a bit premature.

I'd like to know what happened to his science project. Who picked it up? In one excerpt of an interview in The Oregonian, Terri's mother says that Kyron was anxious that morning to show his mother his Red Tree Frog project and was excited about that. In the next sentence she states he was proud of it and they had worked on it together. If they did, would he have been so 'excited" to show it to her? I'm thinking that his teacher might have something to do with this also. Who was the man that asked her if Kyron could help him unlock a door on his truck? Why did she giver her permission when it would have been better to just get the custodian to assist? Why did it take her all the way to 10am to see that he was missing from class?

I'm thinking that her move to CA has much to do with her gathering a high level defense team. I think she took the money from People and the televised interview so that she could cover the initial costs to have them take a case. ABC also owns People Magazine, so I'm sure the money she got was substantial, maybe in the area of $50,000 or so. You'll also see that she has darkened her hair to a dark auburn...perhaps they're telling her she'd seem more convincing without the bright red hair that some people associate with being devious and manipulative. Anyway....almost too many 'what-ifs' to make real sense out of it.

I read elsewhere that he and Terry may have been having an affair, which was discovered by his wife. Reportedly the wife Elsie Mejia Sanchez confronted Ms. Terri in early May, She and her two children (Rudy's children also) were reported missing two weeks later, just 16 days before Kyron was abducted.

  74. The Hormans were Swingers.Terri hated Kyron because her Son was not allowed to live there. Kyron is in a Blue Oil Drum. I will find him this Summer. I have my own leads! The Task Force/ Search and Rescue fell down on the job!!! I will bring this boy home to his Mother to give him a proper burial.

  75. Oh geez...not the old "blue oil drum" theory, again. So you have your "own leads", huh? Well, goody fruity for you. As for James, he did live with the family off-and-on...don't know for exactly how long on Sheltered Nook Road...but it's my understanding that he was welcome there. How do you know that the Hormans were "swingers"? Who told YOU? Yeah, I heard a lot of chatter one time that said that they were both into a PDX BDSM club. But what's that got to do with Kyron's disappearance? You posted "I have...I will." Really, delusions of grandeur with no basis in fact don't do much good here.

  76. I do not trust anything that Desiree or Kaine have said. Not one word.

  77. The authorities in charge of investigating the disappearance of Kyron are 'dirty'. Without a doubt the allegations of an attempted solicitation of murdering Kaine are false. Outright lies and manipulations to put the spotlight and the suspicions on an innocent person. This kidnapping was pre-meditated, rehearsed, and the details gone over with a magnifying glass. The truth is far more bizarre, far more complex and convoluted than anyone could ever fathom. What is going on here goes against everything our nation was founded on. We are dealing with a criminal conspiracy, an empire. The individuals we have placed our trust in, many of whom took an oath, are the very ones perpetrating the crimes that have shaken our nation to the core. Simply by accident or as some might call it fate I have found myself in the middle of a nightmare. I have evidence pointing to a child trafficking ring that is not only interstate but international, I have evidence that points to the involvement and the participation of individuals who hold the highest positions within our local, state, and federal offices. I have evidence that says this 'empire' has been operational for more than thirty years, that this group has been playing 'God' with the lives of innocent children and innocent individuals as a form of entertainment. I have names, lots of them, both of the perpetrators and the victims, I have connected many of the dots and I know without a doubt what has been occuring.

    1. If you truly have all of the evidence that you say you have you would have gone to the authorities with it instead of posting it here. It makes me angry when someone posts on here and doesn't indentify themselves...and THEN has the nerve to say they have all of this evidence. This is NOT about you or me..it is about KYRON..and unless you want to give our moderator here your evidence..AND the authorities..STOP IT! Enough with innuendos and suppositions..

  79. I am interested in what you wrote here. And it sounds plausible. But how do you funnel that down to Kyron?

I would like to hear your theory about what really happened to Kyron on June 4, 2010. There's room to bounce that ball around, so
    go for it.

  80. I don't know if our moderator, Mr. Jim...will post the link that I sent him. It's his choice. This is his turf. And as a fellow blogger, I respect his decision.
But, in case he doesn't, I really want to share the following message today, so here goes...
Very recently, Kelly Ramirez (Desiree Young's sister) posted an update on Kyron's "Go Fund Me" page. It was all about the fact that Kaine Horman suddenly stripped everything off of Kyron's "Wall Of Hope." That action obviously upset Kelly and Desi. At the conclusion of the post, Kelly included the following words: "What I’m wondering is why Kaine doesn’t have a comment for the Wall of Hope he made all the decisions for? The same wall that represents his missing son. Probably the same reason he will not allow a search on his property."
Whoa! Did you all see that?! The update was signed by both Kelly and Desiree. I thought, "Ruh Roh, Shaggy." That's a really heavy-handed choice of words there, Kelly girl.
She might as well have written; "Oh by the way, Kaine...Desi and I both know that you had something to do with Kyron's disappearance." I have a gut feeling that something is cooking on a back burner somewhere, right now. Call it gut intuition. Pray people, pray hard.

  81. Over the past 3 days since I found out about Kyron’s Wall of Hope being stripped clean I’ve struggled with how I feel. I felt absolute heartbreak when I had to call my sister and tell her such horrible news. I felt sadness, anger, frustration and bewilderment, but I didn’t want to jump in too quick. I really wanted to try and understand how this happened. I wanted to read the articles and hear from the people responsible on why they did this to him.

The fact is, International Fitness doesn’t have to keep the Wall of Hope up. They technically don’t have an obligation to Kyron, but what about the obligation to their own community and Kyron’s mother? Every piece of hope and faith. Special words to Kyron, presents from all over the world sent to a little boy, to show their love and support. That wall was a symbol of hope for him to see when he came home. These things weren’t trash. Kyron’s family should have been given the option to bring all of those treasured memories home.

The contract agreement regarding the Wall of Hope with Xtreme Edge Gym was originally between Bob Briede and Kaine Horman. Bob understood how much Kyron meant to the community and would have continued to keep the wall up. Unfortunately, it seems not all of the parties involved feel the same way.

A private company donated the fencing and labor to move and place the wall in that location, and that belongs to Kyron and not the gym. All of those items belonged to Kyron, and he should be the only person that gets to decide whether they are thrown away or not. I personally will never be a member of a gym that would choose to give a missing child such little consideration.

What do we want to come from this? Well, we don’t want a GM of International Fitness to say, “I don’t think it represented the foundation well and it definitely didn’t represent International Fitness well.” We think tens of thousands of people loving and caring about a missing child represents the goodness in humanity and that showing support for that child would represent any business well. It saddens me that International Fitness doesn’t want to be part of a community that cares about a missing child, because that wall represented hope. It represented love for an innocent little boy that didn’t deserve for this to happen to him.

They owe Kyron an apology. They owe the community and every person who put something on that fence an apology, including Desiree and Kyron’s family, and to acknowledge how heartless of a choice this was.

What I’m wondering is why Kaine doesn’t have a comment for the Wall of Hope he made all the decisions for? The same wall that represents his missing son. Probably the same reason he will not allow a search on his property.

  82. So, can anyone answer this question please: HAS the landscaper- murder for hire guys wife and kids EVER been located??? Geez, that's a huge puzzle piece there!!!

    ReplyDelete
  83. I haven't been keeping up with the case the last 5 years or so, but when it broke and for the next year or so, I was very involved in online community discussions. I am surprised that today this case has still not broken but that fact has given me one more piece to suspect Terri Horman based on:
    1. Why would she lie AT ALL about her whereabouts that morning? Your kid is missing you go open-kimono unless you have something to hide.
    2. A cunning, random child killer like this, would have struck again. And law enforcement would be looking for patterns. They haven't found ANYHING like this. Meaning it was a one time event aka Terri.

    ReplyDelete
  84. It is very obvious, Terri is guilty. So many lies. I believe someone else had her cell phone and went to certain places to throw the search off. I don't believe she killed Kyron, I believe she convinced someone that he was in danger and needed protection. She has lied to her parents about her relationship with Kyron's father before they were married. She likes to make her self look good at all cost. She wants to be the center of attention. I honestly think that she gets something out of the fact that no one has been able to figure this out yet. She watched CSI and obviously learned a lot from that show. I was told that someone saw her leave the school with both children that day. So many misleading lies have surfaced. Why would lies be stirred up, if there was nothing to hide? She got her friend involved as well. Cell phones were purchased so no one could listen to their calls. If there was nothing to hide, why do you need to purchase cell phones to make calls? I'm sure there was a house phone. Why was she so busy trying to cover her tracks, when she should have been worried about finding her son? Come hell or high water, I would have been out there looking for my son. I wouldn't have been worried about my own hide. She will have her day.

  85. Poor Kyron...did anyone in any of this EVER put him first? Kaine was busy having multiple affairs (as evidenced by Terri trying to get even by hiring a 'hitman'), his birth mom found another family and despite Kyron telling her he didn't want to go back to his stepmother, back he goes. Back to a stepmom that obviously had something to do with his disapearance, or why would her phone ping at Sauvie Island (and by the way noone just goes all the way out there from the Skyline area just to drive away an earache)? I live close to Skyline though I didn't know it when Kyron disapeared. As a retired teacher, didn't any of his teachers notice him???? I know this was Oregon, but when are you people in rural areas going to figure out BAD PEOPLE CAN DRIVE ANYWHERE!!! Weirdly enough my husband had worked for that same computer part company also, and was WAY higher up on the in the pay scale than Kaine. Kaine was sooooo important that he put his job before his son, and kept having affairs. He had time for THAT, but not his son? Deplorable. I do feel bad for Desiree, as she did have Kidney disease. Sauvie Island is not small, but these things have a way of coming out...I just wish the person responsible for Kyron's disapearance faces justice. I pray he's safe, though it's unlikely after so much time. May God watch over him better than the adults in his life! There should be a special hell for anyone that hurts kids and animals.

    1. You keep ranting on about how Kaine had affairs. My two questions to you are: 1.) How do you know that Kaine had any affair...much less multiple ones? I'm not saying that I doubt you but where is your solid evidence to prove it?
2.) What difference did a dalliance (assuming there was one...or more) make with regard to Kyron's disappearance?

  86. You wrote: "I pray he's safe, though it's unlikely after so much time." What's time got to do with Kyron's safety?
You know there has always been the open possibility that Kyron was removed from a potentially volatile situation and is now in one that is not so much so. I realize that this line of thinking is just so much conjecture but it might be true.
Kyron might have been taken to a "better" situation (or what several people might have hoped would be one) and is living his life totally oblivious of any search for his whereabouts.
I do believe that Terri, her stepparents in Roseburg and her son James should have the screws put to them again. I wish that someone with the ability to light fires under people would re-investigate the whole darn bunch of them...and throw Kaine Horman and Tony Young under the hot light for good measure.

    3. I agree with you, if anyone searches about Kaine's family you will find out his brother was convicted of child sexual abuse and Kyron did mention something to Desiree that he didn't want to go back home. What doesn't make sense is his brother had extra keys to the white truck, and people say kyron left in a white truck with someone he knew. The news makes it look like Kaine is a saint but I'm sure if they dig far enough we will find allot of secrets that have been burried

  87. I agree, she is guilty!!! My dad, the most honerable man i've ever known, was a polygraph examiner for years, in the CID. He fully believed in their accuracy and if he did, I know it's true and I believe in them, too!!! She failed the polygraph examination, she's guilty!!! They always have an excuse!!!!

  89. Fact is I saw all 4 of them in Las Vegas, Nv. Kyron Horman himself shortly after he went missing. At a later date, I saw Terri, Kaine and physically spoke to Dede. She introduced herself to me as "Dee". They were all 3 here in Las Vegas together. Why all 3 of them haven't been brought in again for questioning on this is beyond me.

  91. LOL @ combustion! Yes, I too noticed that moment and it sort of passed by very fast. But anyone who was paying attention caught it completely. Phil is on to her (I don't think he likes her at all) and is playing Terri like a cat does with a mouse...just before the cat eats it.
But I differ with you on the "unhinged" remark. I don't think that Terri reached that point...yet. But she might have during the second half of the interview which airs today.

    ReplyDelete
  92. I also feel that Phil would have gotten much more bang out of his buck if he would have interviewed both Terri and Kaine Horman at the same time. In fact, Dr. Phil might have reached out to Kaine. But I bet that Kaine refused to do it. Gee, I wonder why?

  93. I think someone other than Terri took Kyron. I think a, stranger, a visitor to the science fair kidnapped him.

  94. Terri is full of it! Look at the woman's eyes!! Dr Phil could not say what he REALLY thinks, and does he not know about the landscaper's family disapearence? The story is like an onion, constantly pealing and revealing. Desserie (the real Mom), knows and feels a whole lot more than she is saying. Too bad, it's growing colder. I think their may be more players, Terri's people involved. She is one of the best liar munipulator ever! And obviously the authorities believe her!!
